Global Factory is a business simulation used to impart economical know how and entrepreneurial solutions

In this business simulation up to six companies compete in the world market. 3-6 Participants take on the role of top management in each company. The management team has the task to lead its company back to success and generate profits.

The simulation Global Factory is spread over 4 to 6 game periods. All companies start out with one product at the beginning, with business limited to the domestic market. They win orders through tenders. The orders received have to be processed and goods and services delivered to customers within deadlines.

At the end of each business year participants create a financial statement of accounts for their company; comprising of a P&L account and a balance sheet, and also determine other economic key indicators. Based on these indicators participants see the effects their strategies and decisions have on the company’s success or failure.

The simulation presents the co-relation within a company, how capital resources flow through the company, how important it is to have a good plan of liquidity and solid investment-plans and how research and development, marketing and sales are inter-connected.

• Participants learn to read and analyze budgets and reports as well as understand the financial structure of the company
