City Management
Content:In groups of 3-4 participants discover the financial and economical responsibility involved in managing a city. Over a 3 game-period they experience the transformation from a traditional to a modern form of administrating a municipality. The simulation begins with the planning and execution of a communal accounting system. In the second year the basics of double entry bookkeeping is introduced. Participants are now able to identify economic elements apart from the evaluation of public assets. In the final stage of the simulation an income and cost account is prepared based on double entry bookkeeping procedures. The participants understand the principles and basic functionality between cost centre accounting and product costing with an insight into internal procedures in determining operating profits, cost structures and product calculation. Participants also actively participate in Impulsive lectures understand the connection between the instruments of the new administrative model i.e. Product development, Budgeting, Indicators, Financial Controlling and the presentation of reports.
